The amenities and accessibility made it possible for me to enjoy memories that I never thought I would see again. We have been coming to Masthope every winter for the past 9 years. This was our second time staying at this property. Communication with the property management was easy with quick responses. The property was clean and had all the amenities that you could want. There is plenty of seating for everyone and the basement play area with the toys is a huge bonus. Lots of room in the kitchen and the dining table was large with ample seating for our group. We definitely recommend this property.

Everything was perfect except the weather. We had a welcome basket with games, blankets, tumbler, toiletries etc. Everything was clean and well put together. We really had an awesome time. We recommend this place to anyone. Absolutely Amazing!!!

 Beautiful Poconos Getaway

Our group of 10 adults enjoyed a relaxing, comfortable vacation the heart of the Poconos. This huge home gave us plenty of elbow room. The back deck was a constant gathering place during our July vacation. Particularly enjoyed seeing deer every single day. The kitchen was spacious and well appointed. Bedrooms were excellent. With no children, we did not partake of the basement recreation area, but it looked nice. Really enjoyed the backyard fire pit. Highly recommend this rental.

Captain Bob and Loretta are very responsive hosts. The home had plenty of room for our family of 12. The children and dads loved the basement. The large deck in back was a favorite gathering space. All ages enjoyed roasting marshmallows and making s’mores at the fire pit. The hosts’ welcome basket contained all the fixings. The pool area is a couple of minutes away by car. There are water slides into one of the pools. There is a wading pool for the little ones and a splash pad. The lower pool has deck chairs and is a quieter space for adults. The 9 hole putt-putt course was host to our weeklong family tournament. The beach is within walking distance. The paddle boats and kayaks are available for use at no cost. The beach also has swings and slides. The beach is nicely groomed with white sand. If you have sensitive feet you may consider wearing a pair of water shoes. The Masthope Mountain Community is in a remote area close to the Delaware. Our family had a great summer vacation here. We will be back!

Family Celebration

We chose this lovely property to celebrate our mother's 90th birthday. What a wonderful time. The house was perfect to hold ten of us with plenty of room to spread out. The spacious basement was stocked with kid's things and the large deck was great to hang out on for the adults. The kitchen was well stocked and had many spices on hand. The two coffee makers (Keruig and a 12 cup drip with plenty of cone shaped filters on hand) were great. A little off the beaten path but great for our family. Victoria was very responsive and quickly answered all our questions.

Peaceful Mountain Home

We spent Christmas here, with ten family members, including 4 kids ages 3-13. There was plenty of room and beds for everyone. The fireplace and the wall of windows make it so pretty and comfortable. The table was big enough, and the house is clean and cozy. Lots of kitchen supplies. Comfy beds. The hosts left us a very generous gift basket for Christmas, which was so thoughtful! Best for the preschoolers, there was a basement full of toys. We would stay here again. Be aware that groceries are a half hour drive away, though.

We stayed at Bob’s for our first ever Thanksgiving getaway with family. The house was cozy and spacious. It was perfect for our big family. The kitchen had plenty of amenities for us to use, which came in handy and we definitely needed since we prepped and made Thanksgiving dinner once we arrived at the home. Bob was also kind enough to gift us with a personalized basket of goodies for our stay including things for our kids. This is something that I haven’t experienced at any other rental home. We had questions about a few things and Bob responded on Thanksgiving night to help us, which we were grateful so for. The basement play area was filled with books, toys, and so much more. Our kids were entertained and had so much fun playing down there. Overall, we made some wonderful memories and truly enjoyed our stay. Our parents were so grateful for this trip. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.  All eleven of us had a blast.  We had a memorable time sitting by the fire eating s’mores and assuming every sound we heard was a bear.  Luckily, no bear!  The huge deck really came in handy for those morning sips of joe.  We also took full advantage of the table and had a couple of delicious meals out there as a family.  When we weren’t out hiking or doing one of our other fun activities, this home could not have been a better place to do some good ole fashioned Lackachillin.

The house was bigger inside than we thought it would be and worked out very well for three couples and 5 children, 6-9 years of age. The house was stocked with everything needed in a kitchen and the basement was a wonderful place for the children to play. Remember to bring chairs for the children's pool area and the beach. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to get away.

We enjoyed spending our family vacation here and really noticed all the cozy details. This home has everything and the setting is breathtaking. Lovely home. The hosts thought of everything and made sure we had the things needed for our stay. The basement area was full of toys for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked. Bathrooms were large and clean. The great room with the fire place and huge windows made for the most peaceful place to enjoy coffee in the morning and wind down at night. We loved the location and spotted lots of deer.

The house was perfect for our family reunion of 12. It had everything you could want and more. Perfect for families with kids - the basement was so stocked with toys and games. Also appreciated the second refrigerator in the basement too. We enjoyed the large outdoor patio with ample seating. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for a weeks worth of cooking. The bedrooms were all a good size and comfortable. AC worked great. House came with so many extras - tons of board games, dvds, beach chairs, tennis rackets and the list goes on and on. We had a blast and would highly recommend this property!

We had a wonderful stay. The space is much larger than we thought from the images, and the kitchen was incredibly well supplied. We had a wheelchair user with us, so the ramps and showers allowed us to all easily be together. The kids also absolutely loved the massive amounts of toys in the basement.

We really REALLY enjoyed our stay in your Pocono Mt. home.  It is beautiful, spacious and had all we needed and more for our family of 12.  First time we’ve all 12 been together in 1 ½ years.  We loved having our meals on the deck out back and on one rainy day we all 12 fit around the dining room table.  It brought tears to my eyes to see us all sitting there.

The kids put on shows, played games, did puzzles, played air hockey and we had 2 pool days and an evening at the fire pit.  It’s fun to see the deer, but never feed them as we know that’s not good to do.  We made s’mores one evening and enjoyed the cool night air!

I volunteer for a non profit and lined up a family from Philadelphia to spend a week up in the Poconos for a time of a much needed respite. The family had a lot of needs, one of them being a handicap accessible home. This house provided that and so much more! When the family needed to change their arrival date last minute, the owners were so prompt in communication and allowed a quick change of dates with no added fees..what a generous and wonderful act of kindness! The family’s only request was they wanted to relax and feel rested and they achieved that and a boat load of memories! We will definitely be utilizing this home in the future!

A very spacious house very well set up for our 3 generation family reunion, ages 2-62. Great kitchen, huge deck and 2 story living room. Lots for the kids to do, including a lower level toy/rec area. Hiking trail across the street and 15 min walk to lake beach a big plus for the kids (which means the parents too!) Clear and pro-active communication from hosts.

Eight days was not enough! Staying at this home offered too many amenities to list. From initial registration to checkout, our experience was extraordinary. Proximity to the trails and lake were ideal for family walks. The home was large enough to accommodate our family of eight, yet cozy that we immediately felt at home. My friends and I loved staying at Bob's place. It is huge and very cozy. It is extremely close to Big Bear and you can get a ski discount for staying at Bob's place for being in the village. The house was able to comfortably fit my party of 12. The house is perfectly stocked for cooking for a large group. The couch is very comfortable. Please note, that you have to bring your own towels. So don't forget that! Bob was a great host and we'd love to stay at this house again.

 We had a very good weekend at Bob’s place. Its a well maintained, clean and beautiful house with lots of space. The house has something for everyone - Huge deck with a well maintained grill. Game room that has ample toys for young kids as well as older kids and adults. The kitchen is well stocked with various pots and pans, dinnerware, grilling utensils etc. Having access to the community pools, tennis courts, beach etc is an added bonus. Bob and Loretta were kind enough to extend the checkout time for us. All in all a great experience staying here, wish we had spent more time!

 This is a large beautiful house located in the northern part of the Poconos mountains. We had 4 families of adults and children. We found the house very spacious and comfortable. There is a large game room in the basement for the kids to hang out. Also has BBQ grill, fire pit etc for cooking and s’mores. We had a great time here.

We had a great time with the family. The house was exactly as we expected from the pictures and posts. It was close to the beach waterfront as well as to the pool. We spent many days hanging on the porch grilling as well as having campfires. Our whole family (and the kids!) enjoyed the house. It was clean, spacious and had lots of games to keep us all entertained. Would recommend to families traveling to get away and enjoy the coziness of this home, the wildlife, and the scenic walks!

We stayed here for Thanksgiving and it was wonderful! We wanted to do something different this year so we met here. We had one family from DC, one from Manhattan, one from Boston and grandma from Western PA. There were 7 adults and 4 children. Three of the children were under two years and the other child was five. There was ample parking for our four cars and we could have fit three more. The landscaping was pretty and everything was quiet. They have keyless entry. There were five bedrooms and one bed in the open loft area (single trundle bed ). All the bedrooms were nice sized and the beds were comfortable with nice linens. The house was spotless when we arrived and had obviously been recently cleaned- there were no cobwebs in the bathrooms or basement. Since we were here for Thanksgiving there was lots of cooking going on! We weren't sure what to expect kitchen-wise but were happily surprised. The kitchen is open with a large island and is STOCKED! They had everything from regular pots/pans to roasting pans to an electric beater to a slow cooker and even a lemon zester! The high chair is a brand new Graco with an infant insert. The dining room table is large and easily seats 8. The main sitting area is beautiful! The couch is huge and comfortable. The TV is nice and has Netflix in addition to cable. It is a really nice place to hang out. There is also wifi that was great with no issues. There is a wonderful basement play area that all the kids loved. There are so many games and toys. Some of the toys include pretend food, trains, Lego's, barbies, cars, ring toss, mr potato head, etc. There were many many board games too for adults or older kids. There is a TV in the basement with an easy to figure out DVD player and a comfy couch. They even have many kids DVD's downstairs. It was so nice to have a dedicated play area. We didn't spend much time outside as there was snow on the ground but some of us went for a walk on a cross country skiing trail that was directly across the street. The back porch area is large. There was a fire pit that we did not get a chance to use. I would highly recommend this property. Everyone loved it. The owner and his wife could not have been more helpful. They had recommendations for spas, restaurants, things to do with the kids, etc. They were fast to answer any questions and truly wanted us to have a good Thanksgiving.
