How accessible is this home?

Main level is handicap accessible including deck. Both main floor bathrooms have walk in showers. Master bedroom is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp to the front door. View accessibility info here.

Are there parking restrictions at Masthope?

Parking on the property can easily accommodate six cars. Masthope does not permit street parking.

What is your tech situation?

There is high speed internet throughout, including the back and front decks. There are HD TVs with cable in the living room, master bedroom and lower level.

ROKU “stick”: Each TV has a ROKU stick:

Power up tv remote, select input/source; select HDMI1 to access ROKU; switch to ROKU remote & select Live TV. You can also select apps for Netflix, etc.

Connection issues? The router  is located in the open loft area upstairs next to the window.  If the router needs to be rebooted, pull the plug, wait 15 seconds and then plug the router back into the outlet.

What equipment do you have in your kitchen?

Along with 2 sets of dinner service and a wide selection of glassware, we have a Vitamix blender, Keurig and regular coffee maker, full toaster oven. The kitchen is well stocked equipment-wise for preparing meals for large groups. There is also an infant/toddler highchair. A full list of kitchen equipment can be found here.

Anything else I need to know?

Bring your own towels. Inquire about towel service for an extra fee.

Bring first day groceries: nearest grocery store is over 30 minutes away. Option: The Market at Woodloch has rotisserie chickens, a full deli and is only 15 minutes away.

How close is the beach and pool? The beach is a 15-20 minute walk. The pool and stables are a 3 minute drive.

Liquor stores are state run in Pennsylvania and 1/2 hour away. Option: The Market at Woodloch carries beer and wine.

The Deck This home is situated in a forest-like setting. This also means that the decks (especially the back deck) will accumulate shedding from the trees daily. There is a spray bottle in the kitchen to help keep the tables and chairs clean to your satisfaction. Table mats are also available if you’d like to use them (They are in the sideboard next to the dining room table).

Is there a firepit? Yes, we will provide starter sticks. You can bring wood or purchase at the Masthope deli.

Should I bring bottled water? While the area is known for hard water (water with natural mineral deposits), an electronic descaler water conditioner has been installed and the tap water is drinkable. There is an additional water filter installed for the ice machine. While taste is a matter of preference, the owners drink the tap water and do not feel a need to purchase bottled water.

Why does the bedroom feel cold? The thermostat for the house is close to the fireplace.  Please turn off at night.  If the fireplace is on, the temperature in the bedrooms will be turned off.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.

Pets are not allowed.

Washer and dryer are on the main level in the utility closet.
